Location: Davenport, CA
General Description:
Responsible for maintenance of all electrical systems in manufacturing facility. Troubleshoot and repair electrical breakdowns. Procure electrical parts and supplies. Document maintenance projects. Provide a high level of service to production operations.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems:
- Maintain electrical systems to optimize safe and productive operations
- Perform immediate repairs to keep manufacturing facilities in operation
- Perform daily maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot magnetic starters and controls, soft starts and VFDs
- Manage repair and equipment installation projects
- Troubleshoot, repair and program PLCs and PACs, and VFDs
- Read and fully understand PLC logic and PAC controls
- Read and fully understand schematics and circuitry diagrams
- Troubleshoot computer controls
2. Document maintenance activities:
- Create permanent record of all changes to electrical systems
- Record all maintenance performed
- Communicate all changes to operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel or other affected individuals
3. Procurement of electrical parts and supplies:
- Research and specify parts and equipment for procurement
- Make recommendations for timely purchases to maintain appropriate and cost-effective inventory of electrical supplies and parts
4. Other maintenance activities as assigned:
- Train and assist other manufacturing maintenance personnel
- Provide higher level electrical support to facilities maintenance personnel at various company locations
- Demonstrate leadership in safe electrical work practices
- Experience & Characteristics:
- Able to perform at a journeyman level, having 5 or more years electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of national electric code
- Able to provide basic hand tools
- Able to communicate effectively and develop cooperative working relationships with production and maintenance personnel, supervisors and vendors
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to provide high level of service to production personnel
- Willing to stand in for other maintenance and production personnel when necessary
- Able to demonstrate safe work practices at all times
- Able to provide clear, concise documentation
- DC experience a plus
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, additional hours when necessary
Compensation: Starting rate of $28-44/hour, depending on experience. Plus generous benefits package.
Experience:
Electrical: 5 years (Required)
Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
