Big Creek Lumber’s is excited to announce the third year of their redwood garden bed grant program for schools in the communities in which Big Creek does business. This fall, ten garden bed kits will be awarded and delivered to ten lucky recipient schools in the spring, just in time to plant school gardens.
Eligible Schools must be within 25 miles of a Big Creek Lumber Location, be a 501©3 non-profit, have not received a Garden Grant last year (schools may receive one every other year) and have a plan in place to continue the garden program. All eligible applications will be placed in a drawing and ten winners will be selected at random, two per yard. Garden bed deliveries will take place in the spring of 2018.

Our 2017 grant recipients were: Mintie White Elementary, HA Hyde Elementary, Scotts Valley High, Bayview Elementary, Vineyard Elementary, Templeton Middle, Ortega Elementary, La Honda Elementary, Fruitland Christian, and St. Anthony School.
