EMPLOYEE PROFILE – JOSH FAIRBANKS
Josh Fairbanks has worked on Big Creek’s logging crew for three years. His primary responsibility is operating our grapple/winch line skidder, a job he really enjoys. He also bucks logs and assists with road maintenance and repair, He says the logging crew is great to work with.
Josh was raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains and his parents live here. He loves the outdoors, especially riding his motorcycle. Logging is an intense and demanding occupation. Big Creek is fortunate to have employees like Josh.

Tim Sprotte, our Big Creek Lumber employee who wrote the market report in this newsletter for many years is retiring. We’d like to thank Tim for his time at Big Creek Lumber.
Tim joined our team in 2007 and brought many years of experience in the lumber industry. He excelled at many roles at Big Creek including most recently as our Central Purchasing Agent.
Tim is retiring to Maine with his wife and we can’t thank him enough for his work at Big Creek Lumber. We’d like to congratulate Tim and wish him the best!
