Big Creek Lumber’s is excited to announce the fifth year of their redwood garden bed grant program for schools in the communities in which Big Creek does business. This fall, ten garden bed kits will be awarded and delivered to ten lucky recipient schools in the spring, just in time to plant school gardens.
Eligible Schools must be within 25 miles of a Big Creek Lumber Location, be a 501©3 non-profit, have not received a Garden Grant last year (schools may receive one every other year) and have a plan in place to continue the garden program. All eligible applications will be placed in a drawing and ten winners will be selected at random, two per yard. Garden bed deliveries will take place in the spring of 2020.

Our 2019 grant recipients were: Sheehy Elementary School, Farmdale Elementary School, La Honda Elementary School, Kings Mountain Elementary School, Paloma Creek High School, Paso Robles Co-Op High School, Shoreline Middle School, Valenica Elementary School, H.A. Hyde Elementary School and Starlight Elementary School.
