Big Creek Lumber is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 School Garden Bed Grant Program. Established in 2016 after years of donating to local schools and Life Lab gardens, this program provides an opportunity for students to learn about construction, where food comes from, and healthy eating habits — all while getting their hands dirty in the soil.

Each year, up to twelve garden bed grants are awarded to schools within 25 miles of a Big Creek Lumber location. Eligible schools must not have received a grant in the prior year and should have a plan to continue their garden program. Applications are open from August through October, with winners selected by random drawing in early fall. Garden beds are delivered each spring, just in time for planting season.
