Successful Contractor Conference!
Big Creek Lumber Company held another successful Contractors Conference on January 27th at the Seascape Golf Course. Participation was great with over 100 in attendance.
Our informative seminars are geared towards contractors and the construction industry. This event included guest speakers discussing the legal aspects of pre-liens, weatherization, compliance, Cal OSHA, a vendor fair and prize drawings. A free lunch was provided for all!

Market Report
The green Douglas fir market is firming and will continue to firm with demand. The plywood and OSB markets have found trading levels and will also firm with demand.
Forestry Department News
Big Creek welcomes Raina Blasser to the Forestry Department! Raina has taken the position of Forestry Technician. Her goal is to become a California Registered Professional Forester We’re proud to have Raina as part of our team and we look forward to working with her!
Oscar Koskinen was recently promoted to Logging Manager. Oscar is a great asset to our logging crew and Forestry Department team. We congratulate him on his achievement and wish him all the best in his new role!
