Job Title: Contractor Salesperson

Reports to:  Branch Manager

Hours: Shifts may vary, covering 6:30 AM – 5:30PM, Monday-Friday.  Hours may vary due to changes in business conditions.

General Job Description:

Perform inside sales with contractors, homeowners and walk-in customers on the phone and in the store.  Provide a high level of customer service.  Determine customer needs, quote prices and take customer orders for both delivery and will call.  Generate special orders as needed.  Effectively purchase material for customer orders.  Provide support for outside salesperson.  Achieve individual and branch sales goals.  Knowledge of doors and windows a plus.  Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sales and customer service
    • Capitalize on every sales opportunity and successfully close those opportunities
    • Meet sales and margin goals on a consistent basis
    • Build and service a customer base
    • Provide a high level of service to all customers
    • Efficiently and accurately generate customer quotes and orders for stock and special order material
    • Ensure that customer sale experience is smooth from quote through delivery
    • Provide support for outside salesperson
    • Deal with any customer complaints in a pleasant, professional manner
  • Perform cashiering duties as needed including day end function
  • Assist with any of the day to day operations of the store (opening/closing, etc.)
  • Perform any job-related task including general housekeeping in order to achieve the branch’s goals

  • Able to lift 50 lbs. from the ground into the bed of a standard size pick-up truck

  • Good basic computer skills
  • Keep up to date with new building trends and products

Compensation Package:

  • Wage range: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour depending on knowledge and responsibilities
