What’s going on in IT?  When I started in IT at Big Creek, we had one big computer and as you know we have many more now…And today, I am excited that we have a company intranet called the “Toolbox” where our employees can get the information they need at work, at home or on smartphones.

I’ve invested nearly 30 years hiring great people, building the IT department, and providing tech tools to help people be more productive.  In one and a half years I will turn 70 and my goal is to transfer knowledge and leave the IT department in the position to keep moving ahead.

We have hired Keri Cole to be the new IT manager.  Keri ran her own IT consulting business for for 15 years and was in the role of IT manager/systems administrator for two years. Fortunately we also have Roy Kozina who is a superstar in his own right. He came to Big Creek with both lumber and IT knowledge in 2001 and has worked tirelessly ever since to help progress our company systems, support, security and much more!

The possibilities in the future are endless and I am excited to move on to a new chapter in my life, leaving Big Creek with a great IT team heading in the right direction.
